  1. What is SDS College London?

    SDS College London is a renowned IT Training College located in the heart of London, UK.   2. What kind of courses are available at SDS College London?

  3. What qualification can I get after I finish my studies?

    On the academic front, SDS College London offers the BCS Professional qualifications (awarded by the British Computer Society). This is a 3 year programme at the end of which you will be awarded with a BCS Professional Graduate Diploma. After this, you can either start your IT career or you can further your studies by doing a Master's Degree at a UK university. You also have other options, for example, the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) is a qualification awarded by Microsoft. This will take you about 6 months to complete. There are many other qualifications that you could gain from industry-leading companies including Cisco systems, CIW, Sun Microsystems etc.
  4. How can I find a job after I finish my studies? How easy is it to find a job? How much will I be earning? How can you help with my career?

    There is an abundance of IT vacancies in the UK. Thousands of jobs are advertised on a daily basis. Our tutors will provide you with all the necessary insight into applying for jobs. You must understand that the industry is highly competitive and so you must make sure you excel in your studies from day one. Our tutors will give you all the guidance you need. It is then up to you to make the most of it and develop yourself to be competitive enough for the industry. Once you have done this, there is nothing to stop you from starting a successful IT career. In the UK, starting salaries are around £18,000 per annum but could be higher than this according to your job role. At SDS College London, we will give you all the support you need in securing a job. We will also help you with your CV and will give you tips for job interviews.
  5. Can I work in the UK when I am studying? Is it legal to do so?

    According to UK law, you are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours a week during your study period. It is illegal to exceed this limit and it is your own responsibility to ensure that you dont.
  6. Where can I work part time while I am studying? How can you help me with this?

    Your financial situation may require you to take on a part time job while you study, it however advisable that you have all the funds for your study allocated before hand. There are a wide range of part time jobs available for students in the UK. These include jobs such as sales assistants, administration assistants, bar workers etc. As soon as you arrive, we will give you the necessary guidance on applying for these jobs. It is important to view your part time job as nothing more than a facility to pay for your daily expenses and should never be a hindrance to your studies. It is up to you to make sure you strike the perfect balance between work and studies.
  7. When I arrive in the UK, will you pick me up from the airport?

    It is important that you keep us informed about your arrival date. If you do not have any relatives in the UK, one of our delegates will be there to pick you up and lead you to your place of accommodation. You will then report to the College to proceed with the necessary procedures. Note that accommodation needs to be paid for in advance, before your arrival.
  8. Where can I stay and how can you help me with accommodation? How much does it cost for accommodation and other daily expenses?

    If you do not have any relatives or friends in the UK who can accommodate you, you will need to inform us in advance. We will arrange accommodation for you provided you make an advance payment of at least 400 GBP. Weekly rent costs around 100-120 GBP per week. Food and other expenses amounts to around 30GBP per week.
  9. How about travel costs?

    London has a well-connected public transport network. Depending on where you stay, you may have to travel by bus or train to get to the College. If you are staying within the main London area, you could be spending around 60GBP per month for travel.

  11. After I enrol on a course, can I change to another course?

    If you have been granted your student visa for a particular course, it is best that you do not change your course. If you want to change, you must have a very good reason for doing so. The best option is to seek advice from our tutors who are always willing to help.
  12. Can I get my deposit back if I don’t get my student visa?

    SDS College London will retain an administration fee of 200 GBP. Any amount above this will be refunded to you once you have provided evidence that your student visa application was declined.
  13. How long does it take to get the visa?

    It takes around 3 to 4 weeks from the day of your application.
  14. How long will the enrolment process take?

    Enrolment at SDS College London take 2 to 3 weeks. This depends on how soon we are able to assess your eligibility for a course and how soon you are able to pay your initial deposit. This also excludes the time taken to obtain your student visa.
