Overseas Candidates Application Procedure

PROCEDURE OF APPLYING

To join the ranks of many highly certified and qualified individuals you need to do this:
  1. Decide what programme you want to follow - remember this is an investment decision and like all other investment decisions you need to think it through. To help you decide we have a group of consultants who can help you through unbiased advice. Call us, Email Us or if you are already sure move on to step 2.
  2. So you have decided what you want to do. Fill out our ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. You will need to provide an existing CV and answer all questions to the best of your ability. Keep in mind we have a maximum number of candidates per class and you will be competing with others to join our classes - MAKE YOURSELF SOUND GREAT!
  3. So now you have filled out the Application form and you are happy with it - it makes you sound GREAT! you will now need to get a haircut, dress smart and get passport photos taken. Attach 2 passport size photos to your application form - remember you can scan the whole form in and email it to speed up your processing. You will also need to organise a Processing fee of £100.00. You can pay this directly through the website. The processing fee is non refundable - we use it to cover the costs involved in processing your application.

    What happens now?

    After we have recieved your application form and other details - we will consider your application and see if you will be a suitable candidate. You should get a reply within a week of having sent us all details.
  4. You will now get a notification - you will be told whether you have been successful and have been accepted as a candidate.You will now need to make an appropriate payment for your fees - a consultant will advise you of this, and you shall receive supporting documents to help you through your visa application. The payment you make from now on is fully refundable in the event you are unable to proceed for any reason - subject to supporting evidence.
  5. You should now have all your documents, and you will proceed to make your Visa application and arrange your flight to the UK - to the warm welcoming arms of SDS. You will need to notify us of the progress of application and your flight bookings so we may keep in touch with the HomeOffice - so they are aware that you are a legitimate student.
  6. On arriving to the UK. You will need to get in touch with the SDS office within 2 working days to notify them of your entry, and agree a day to come in and go through the Orientation process.
  7. Thats it! You will need to attend your classes as advised to maintain an attendance of at least 90% for SDS to consider you an active student with our institution. Non-Attendance or inadequate attendance can lead to immigration problems.

Our General Entry Requirements are:

The minimum age of entry is 18 years of age.

Candidates currently overseas who wishes to be considered for a course with us needs to already have hold a TOEFL (paper based test: minimum 530; computer-based test: minimum 200; internet-based test iBT TOEFL: minimum 72) or an IELTS (overall minimum score of 5.5).

We do no provide any English training therefore candidates need to already have met these language requirements to be considered.

Refunds

We like to think that all our candidates are very happy with our services, however, in the event that you decide to discontinue study for any reason, you will be entitled to a refund of fees paid subtract the administration fee of £200 and a calculated amount of course already delivered. So for instance if you have attended 3 months out of a 9 month programme you will be entitled to (3 / 9 X "Course Fee").

In the event that your course of enrolment is discontinued you will be given 2 months notice over which you will either be able to move your paid fees to another course without any admin charges, or get a full refund on the course subtract the administration fee of £200 and a calculated amount of course already delivered. So for instance if you have attended 3 months out of a 9 month programme you will be entitled to (3 / 9 X "Course Fee"). We obviously hope a situation like this will never arise.
